Renze was born into craftsmanship, growing up on a small farm in the North-East countryside of the Netherlands. Surrounded by nature, playing in and around the workshop of his father, he started developing his woodworking skills at a very young age. Fascinated by machinery and technology, his deep love for the material led him to profound craftsmanship through dedicated study, examination and diversified practice.

 

Travels abroad have not only shown him a wide range of woodworking techniques, they have opened up his mind to the possibility and necessity to express his talent. Having collected a whole lot of knowledge, tools and experience, it is the challenge of complexity and the search for perfection that keeps on fueling his creative power. 

 

Today, with a clear vision of purpose, he now has a workshop of his own in the city of Zutphen (the Netherlands).
